Other Thoughts: This bag is just awesome.
I was sold on Western Mountaineering’s MF shell the first time I saw water pool-up on the surface, the light weight and pack-ability the first time I loaded my backpack, and the warmth the first cold night I spent in one.
I also have an Apache, but got this bag for an early spring trip to New Hampshire. The Apache is rated at 15 degrees and a tight-fit whereas the Antelope is 5 degrees and a much more generous cut. There is plenty of room in the Antelope for extra clothes and a liner.
I’m not sure I’ll ever need the extra room. Single-digit nights are no problem in this bag and left me wondering why I would ever get myself in a situation requiring an additional liner.
